ATLANTA – Georgia State men's tennis will look to extend its three-match winning streak this weekend as the Panthers (4-6) welcome South Florida (5-4) for a Friday afternoon match at the GSU Clarkston Courts. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. ET with live stats available on
StatBroadcast.
Friday will be the 11
th overall meeting between GSU and USF, with the Bulls owning a 7-3 lead in the all-time series. The two teams squared off twice last season, with each teaming earning one victory. South Florida won the most recent outing 4-3 on March 18 in Tampa, Fla.
Georgia State returns to the court following a strong performance last weekend, stringing together three straight victories. The Panthers collected the doubles point in all three matches and are 4-1 when winning the doubles point this season.

Roberts Grinvalds lead GSU in doubles, as the duo has garnered a 4-1 record this dual season and is currently ranked No. 58 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Doubles Rankings.

Diego Padilha have also had strong performances in doubles play, as Coulaud/Showers enter the weekend on a three-match win streak and Lazo/Padilha enter on a two-match win streak.
Individually, Grinvalds has won three singles matches in a row, including a 6-4, 6-4 victory over No. 114 Maxime Lapraille of FAU. He finished last weekend with a 4-0 overall record (3-0 singles, 1-0 doubles) a ranked win and two clinches. Also on a hot streak for the Panthers are Duarte and Lazo, who have each tallied back-to-back wins in singles play.
USF heads into the weekend looking to bounce back from a two-match losing streak, coming off road losses at SMU and No. 12 TCU. The Bulls are led by sophomore Chase Ferguson, who is 6-2 at the No. 1 singles position this dual season.
