AUBURN, Ala.– Facing their second Power Five opponent this season, Georgia State women's tennis (1-2) fell 6-1 to the Auburn Tigers (4-1) Saturday afternoon at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Aleksandra Stromova went unfinished at the No. 3 doubles position.
In singles,
Eva Chivu tied the match for the Panthers with a quick 6-2, 6-0 win over No. 79 Taylor Russo. Auburn regained the lead with a victory 6-1, 6-2 on court four. Alvarez made her first career appearance in singles competition of the dual season for Georgia State but took a 6-1, 6-2 loss. Auburn clinched the match with a victory on court three. Both
Andreea Stanescu and Muminovic forced a third-set tiebreaker, but both fell to their opposition from Auburn.
GSU is back in action Friday against at East Tennessee State University.
