*Georgia State women's tennis will hit the courts taking on Auburn at 12:00 p.m.CT Saturday afternoon.
*It will be the first action for the Panthers since opening weekend.Â
*GSU has a 1-1 record on the season after splitting decisions during their trip to Texas.Â
 *The Panthers will look for the first win against the Tigers in program history.Â

ATLANTA- Ga.- After a week off the Panthers will be back on the courts this Saturday afternoon. Georgia State (1-1) will meet Auburn (3-1) in Alabama for a 12:00 p.m. first serve at Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Panthers will hope for another strong performance from sophomore Eva Chivu, who defeated her opposition from McNeese State (6-0, 6-0) in her last match. Freshmen Angel Carney and Aleksandra Stromova will continue to find a rhythm in collegiate single action. Stromova has split decisions so far this season on court three. Carney (0-2) has yet to find an individual win this season, but has taken both of her strong opponents to three set matches.Â

This is Auburn's first season with Caroline Lilley at the helm. The Tigers split decisions last weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C. The squad fell to No. 2 North Carolina before defeating Columbia the next day.Â

The two programs faced one another last season. The Tigers took the match 5-0. Chivu and Stanescu held strong leads in their respective matches before Auburn clinched the game. The trip will be the first of two weeks for GSU in the Yellowhammer State, as the Panthers will play Sun Belt rivals, Troy and South Alabama, on the road this season.
