*GSU dropped a match 7-0 at Georgia Tech on Friday afternoon.

ATLANTA- Georgia State women's tennis fell 7-0 to Georgia Tech at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta Friday afternoon. The loss dropped GSU to 1-4 on the season.
GSU got a strong effort from Andreea Stanescu and Daniela Ramirez who jumped out to a 4-1 lead on court one in a doubles match that would go unfinished. Georgia Tech would take sets on courts two and three to win the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Georgia State would not fair better in singles as Georgia Tech won on all six courts. After dropping the first set 6-3, Daniela Ramirez roared back with a 6-0 second set win to tie her singles match. However, the senior would fall 10-3 in the tiebreak. It was the seniors first loss of the season.
The Panthers will be on the road for a doubleheader in Auburn on Saturday afternoon. GSU is slated to take on the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. before meeting Samford at 7:00 p.m.
