NASHVILLE, TENN.- Following a two-hour lightning delay, the Georgia State women's soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Lipscomb in its first exhibition match of the season on Tuesday night.
Junior Skylar Olson had the loan goal of the game, putting the Panthers ahead of the Bison 1-0 with less than five minutes to play.
“It was a good performance in some tough conditions, and it was a good chance for the younger girls to get some experience,” head coach Ed Joyce said. “It was also good to see Skylar get the goal and her hard work in the off-season rewarded.”
Georgia State will be back on the field for a late Sunday match, hosting its final exhibition of the season against Austin Peay at 6 p.m. Live stats will be available at GeorgiaStateSports.com.
