Georgia State Drops Midweek Match Against Samford

ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer was unable to overcome an early deficit and fell 3-0 to Samford on Thursday night at the GSU Soccer Complex. The Panthers dropped to 3-3 on the season.

Samford jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening 21 minutes. Martha Bishop scored first in the 17th minute off a feed from Samantha De Luca, before Sarah Holland doubled the advantage just five minutes later with an assist credited to Caroline Smith.

The Bulldogs added a third goal in the 55th minute when De Luca converted a pass from Bishop to put the match out of reach.
