Baseball Inks 10 in Early Signing Period

ATLANTA – Filling needs in every area, the Georgia State baseball program added 10 student-athletes during the fall signing period, head coach Greg Frady announced.

The signing class includes three junior college players and seven high school prospects. The Panthers addressed every position, adding four pitchers, three infielders, two outfielders and one catcher. All but one of the new Panthers are from the state of Georgia.

“This is an excellent group and one that we are very excited about,” said Frady, who enters his 11th season at the helm. “These student-athletes like where the program is and how it's growing, and they see an opportunity to come here and make an impact.

“As Georgia State University and our program continue to grow, we're seeing more and more interest,” Frady continued. “We saw tremendous interest in the new facilities that we have coming, the opportunity to play in the Sun Belt Conference, which is a fantastic baseball conference, and our continued focus on playing a challenging schedule. All of these things helped us put together this class, which is very talented and will help us continue to move forward.”
