JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Senior Andy Anglade took a long feed from senior Nomis Cisic and chipped it over the head of a charging goalkeeper at 87:37 to lift Georgia State to a 2-1 win over North Florida Sunday night.

Georgia State (1-1) finishes its two-game road trip with this win, while host UNF slips to 1-1 following its Friday win over the Sun Belt's Appalachian State.

The first half of the match delayed two hours by weather was scoreless. Georgia State's Jad Elkhalil scored the game's first goal at 53:32 on an assist by Casey Shultis. It was a long cross from the far right side that Elkhalil got to and slid to get the ball into the net.

But, host UNF came right back with an equalizer by Drew Spragg at 62:05 and it was 1-1. Spragg slipped by a defender and got close to beat the keeper.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Greyson Walldorff gets his first win in his second start after making four saves on the evening, including a final one at 85:30.

Anglade, a senior from Alpharetta High School in metro Atlanta, made his third career goal at GSU. Just like his others versus Appalachian State and Georgia Southern, this goal was a game-winning kick.

Elkhalil, a sophomore from Walton High School in metro Atlanta, scored the game-winner in last year's win over North Florida in Atlanta.

Coach Brett Surrency took advantage of his roster depth and rotated 15 players to be strong in the closing stretch. The roster depth saw eight newcomers make first-half starts, including six freshmen. The six freshmen included redshirts Liam Fitzsimmons and Greyson Walldorff, plus four true freshmen in Kwaku Adu, Max Hemmings, Marcus Holm and Lukas Joyner. Junior transfers Nenad Smiljanic and Casey Shultis rounded out the new group. Seven veterans also played key roles in the win.

The match was delayed two hours in starting due to stormy weather and the field was wet.

This was part of UNF's Mike Gibbs Memorial Tournament. GSU's players on the All-Tournament team were GK Greyson Walldorff, along with defenders Conor Acheson and Lukas Joyner.

Georgia State returns to Atlanta for its home opener on Thursday evening against Mercer at 7 p.m.
