WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

* GSU finished 15th at the Notre Dame Clover Cup in Mesa, Arizona.

* The season theme of injuries and missed time is back as Emily Royer sustained an injury Friday and couldn't play on Saturday or Sunday, leaving GSU a player short in the scoring.

* Lauren Court led GSU with 74-82-78 to finish 43rd of the 89 golfers

MESA, ARIZ. –Georgia State finished in 15th place in the 15-team Notre Dame Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona after a final day 323 round. Ten of the teams are ranked in the top 100 in the NCAA.

The Panthers played with just four golfers after an injury in the opening-day Friday round.

No. 27 Arizona State won the event, followed by No. 37 and host Notre Dame, No. 66 TCU, No. 67 Oklahoma, No. 64 FIU, No. 39 SMU and No. 59 East Carolina in a top-notch field.

Georgia State's top finisher was Lauren Court in 43rd-place among the 89 golfers with rounds of 74-82-78. The Panthers' second finisher in the Clover Cup was Jooeun Bae, who also played her first event of the spring season. She posted a final-round 79 to finish tied for 66th. Freshman Paula Zabarte added a final-round 82 Sunday and freshman Yasemin Sari posted a round of 84.

One bit of good news for Georgia State was junior Julie Lied's round of 77 on Sunday. She had missed the spring and played this event as an individual. Adding her back to the line-up should prove beneficial.

Georgia State did benefit from plenty of work in the warm weather after little time to be outdoors in Atlanta playing golf.

The Panthers have two weeks to get ready to play host to the 22nd John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing CC in Stockbridge, Ga. on March 29-31.
