22 Days To Kickoff: RADIO BROADCASTS SET
Georgia State's encore football season kicks off on Friday Night Sept. 2 under the bright lights of the Georgia Dome.
Listen live to every Georgia State Panthers football game on the NewsTalk 1160 (WCFO-AM) radio network.
By August, the radio network had signed on new affiliates and may be able to add more. Carrying some GSU games will be WGTJ-AM 1330 (Gainesville), WIMO-AM 1300 (Winder), WNGA-FM 105.1 (Helen), WRBN-FM 104.1 (Clayton), WGAA-AM 1340 (Cedartown), WQXZ-FM 103.9 (Hawinsville) and WCGA-AM 1100 (St. Simons Island) and WMLB-1690 (Atlanta), along with WRAS-FM 88.5.
And, every GSU football game is streamed live on the NewsTalk 1160 web site (http://www.newstalk1160.com), making the game easily accessible with the ease of the Internet.
The inaugural radio broadcast team will return with long-time Panther veteran Dave Cohen handling the play-by-play call. Former NFL player and NCAA player Harper LeBel and veteran TV broadcaster Sam Crenshaw will provide analysis and interviews.
Coach Bill Curry's weekly radio show with Cohen will be broadcast live on NewsTalk 1160 (WCFO-AM) every Monday from 4-5 p.m. with listener calls accepted.
Tailgating starts early outside the Dome. The PantherZone tailgate area has been moved to the Brown Lot. The PantherZone is the designated area for games, contests, entertainment and game day giveaways as part of the tailgating. The Orange Lot remains a headquarters for alumni and other tailgating activities. Come early and join the tailgate fun.
