Lorentzen and Guilleux in Top 10 at Lady Pirate

Greenville, N.C. - With a pair of Charlottes in the top 10, the Georgia State women's golf team stands in fifth place of 20 teams after 36 holes of the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. Seniors Charlotte Guilleux and Charlotte Lorentzen sit in eight and ninth place, respectively, among the 104 golfers entering Tuesday's final round.

The Panthers completed the first 18 holes tied for second place with an opening round 293. The squad added six strokes in the second round, shooting 299 to drop three spots into fifth place. Georgia State enters the final 18 holes at 16-over, nine shots back from the lead.

Guilleux was tied for fifth place following an opening round 71. The senior from St. Maur de Fosses, France landed five birdies on the front nine to go out at 3-under 33. Guilleux followed up her first round with an even second round to finish the day in 8th place, trailing the top spot by just four strokes.

Lorentzen started the day at 3-over with a share of 25th place but had a six stroke turnaround in the afternoon to jump up the leaderboard into a two-way tie for ninth place at even par. The Soroe, Denmark native collected three consecutive birdies on holes four, five and six to wrap up the front nine at 1-under 35. Lorentzen recorded three more birdies on the back nine to account for a round total 3-under 69.
