ORLANDO, FLA. (Mar. 8, 2009) The Georgia State men's tennis team dropped two matches this weekend against FAU and UCF in Orlando, Fla.
Georgia State (0-13) met No. 59 FAU on Saturday and dropped the doubles point and singles point en route to a 7-0 loss to the Owls.
The Panthers were able to collect two singles wins in Sunday's match against UCF after the Knights swept the doubles point. Henri Mangin defeated Tarek Ben Soltane 6-1, 3-6, 10-8 at No. 1 and Orlando Battaglia defeated Danny Colon 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6., but the Knights' four wins at No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 clinched the 5-2 win.
Georgia State travels to San Diego, Calif. this week to take on No. 54 San Diego State on Thursday, Mar. 12th at 2:30 p.m. (PST) and the 63rd-ranked University of San Diego on Friday, Mar. 13th at 11 a.m. (PST).
