Rosendahl Paces Men's Golf Finishes at E-Z-Go

Sophomore Tobias Rosendahl paced the Georgia State men's golf team with his second consecutive round of even par as the Panthers finished 15th at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational.

Georgia State shot a final round 300, after opening rounds of 295 and 297.

Rosendahl's round included a pair of birdies as the sophomore finished in a tie for 26th.

Freshman Allen John fought off a tough start to shoot a final round 2-over par, 74. John started with a pair of double bogeys on his first two holes and at one point reached 7-over for the round, however he finished 5-under his final five holes, including three birdies and an eagle to tie for 50th place.

Sophomore Alan Fowler shot a final round 77 to tie for 55th place, while sophomore Brent Paul scored a final round 77 as well, tying for 81st.

Junior Tom Sherreard, who had fired an opening round 2-under, 70 and tie for fifth place, struggled to a final round 79 and tied for 62nd.

Sophomore Alex Castro, who competed as an individual this week, shot a final around 81 and tied for 94th.

#16 South Carolina took home the team title and firing a 2-under, 286, in the final round. #15 Tennessee and #14 North Carolina State tied for second place, just two strokes back at 3-over par. #9 Florida finished fourth with Kentucky rounding out the top five.

North Carolina State's Matt Hill took home low medalist honors after firing a final round 3-under par, 69, finishing 7-under for the tournament. South Carolina's George Bryan IV, who won the event last season finished second, with Ole Miss' Jonathan Randolph finishing alone in third.

The Panthers will be back in action next week as they travel to Awendaw, South Carolina for the Hootie at Bulls Bay. The event benefits the Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation.
