GREENVILLE, S.C. – Senior
Connor MacMillan's ninth-place finish led the Panther at the Furman Intercollegiate tournament this weekend.
The Panthers posted a team score of 869, which was good enough for seventh overall in the tournament.
MacMillan finished the tournament hot, shooting a score of 69 in the final round to result in a one-over par 214 (74-71-69) total score.
Junior
Cameron Jackson came in next on the Panthers' leaderboard, finishing 20
th overall with a four-over par 217 (72-75-70) score. Jackson also shot his best in the final round, putting up a score of 70 or one-under par.
Freshman
Archie Cook finished 38
th overall in the tournament. His best round came in the second with a score of 70 to culminate in a 221 (75-70-76) outing.
TOURNAMENT NOTES:
Matthew Calhoun scored 11-over par 224 (69-78-77).
Brody Tidwell scored 13-over par 226 (78-72-76).
The Panthers will take a break before picking up the season in the Spring at Stono Individual and Battle at Briar's Creek in Charleston, S.C. on Feb. 2-3.
