The 2009 Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational has been cancelled due to rain.
Georgia State finished around five or six holes of their first round on Monday according to head coach Cathy Mant. On Tuesday, players returned to the course at 8:30 a.m. but were forced off due to rain at around 11 a.m.
“It was just really tough to get any golf in today. The rain was coming down to the point that streams were running through greens,” said coach Mant on Monday.
The tournament was to be shortened to one round, but tournament officials deemed the course unplayable shortly after Tuesday's round began.
The Panthers now turn their focus to hosting the John Kirk/Panter Intercollegiate at Georgia State's home course, Eagle's Landing, beginning on March 30th in Stockbridge, Ga.
