Newark, DE (Nov. 3, 2009) - Host Delaware scored a pair of goals in each half to hand Georgia State a 4-1 loss on Tuesday on the campus of the Blue Hens.
Delaware was able to score a pair of goals in the opening half, but the visiting Panthers responded to close to 2-1 at 62:28 on a goal by sophomore Christopher Peacos on an assist from freshman Eric Lawrence.
Georgia State couldn't get the equalizer goal and the host Blue Hens eventually scored again at 74:41. The Blue Hens added a final goal in the last minute.
Sophomore Zach Walldorff got a start in goal and had 11 saves, but attacking Delaware kept him more than busy.
The Panthers drop to 4-10-1 on the season and finish the CAA matches with a final 2-8 mark.
Georgia State returns home for Senior Night on Saturday in Panthersville when they play host to Wofford under the lights at 7 p.m.
The young Panthers team will honor its lone two seniors, Brett Cummins and Stephan Minyono, in Saturday's finale.
