ATLANTA — After suffering their first Sun Belt loss against Marshall, the Panthers will look to get back on track when they host James Madison on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in their lone contest of the week.
BOUNCING BACK
The Panthers stumbled on the road against a ranked Marshall squad on Saturday night, but are well positioned to return to form quickly. The team is 1-0-1 following a loss this season, including a tie against Lipscomb that sparked a season-long five-game unbeaten streak.
The Georgia State offense has run through their dynamic duo of
Samir Djeha and Matt Taylor all season long. The two currently sit tied with a team-best five goals on the season, but have been taking turns holding the crown throughout the campaign. Taylor contributed the most recent score, against Marshall, but Djeha is just over a week removed from game-wrecking, two-goal, two-assist performance against Old Dominion on September 28. His 14 points on the season are tied for third most in the Sun Belt.
Despite being tested by a nationally regarded Marshall offense in his most recent outing, goalkeeper
Loan Marin is enjoying a strong season in net. The Senior has played every minute of the season for the Panthers and has posted a respectable .692 save percentage. He has recorded multiple saves in each of the last six games.

The visiting Dukes (1-7-1) have yet to record their first victory in conference play this year. The team was held scoreless by strong South Carolina and Kentucky squads and suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of nationally ranked West Virginia. Georgia State and JMU have been evenly matched throughout most of their history against one another, with the Dukes holding a narrow 6-4 advantage in the all-time series. The Panthers grabbed a 1-0 victory in Harrisonburg a year ago, snapping a two-game skid in the series.
