Newport News, Va.  (Feb. 23, 2008)  Georgia State's women's tennis team (4-7) fell 7-0 to Old Dominion in its first CAA match of the season.

In doubles competition, the Panthers evened the score with an 8-6 victory by Dariana Kozmina and Kiara Powell over Barbara Costa and Joanna Dobrowolska at No. 2.  ODU took the No. 1 match as Martina Nitkova and Katerina Gresova fell 8-4 to Charleen Haarhoff and Nadine Fahoum.  However, a forfeit at No. 3 allowed ODU to clinch the doubles point.

The Monarchs went on to sweep the doubles point, though three Panthers- Nitkova, Kozmina, and Powell pushed their matches to three sets. 

Georgia State takes on CAA rival, VCU, on Sunday at 11 a.m. in Newport News, Va.
