Rosendahl Leads After 36 in S.C.

Sophomore Tobias Rosendahl leads by three strokes at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate at Haig Point on Daufuskie Island, S.C. after shooting a 71-70 141 (-3), Monday. Golfweek's 51st-ranked Georgia State men's golf ends the day in second out of 12 teams, trailing South Carolina by six strokes after shooting rounds of 290-297 587 (+11).

Georgia State led at the end of round one by one stroke ove South Carolina, but gave up seven strokes in the second round.

Alan Fowler ends the day in seventh after carding a 73-74 147 (+3) day. Allen John, whose first round included an eagle at the 18th, sits one stroke behind Fowler at +4, good for 10th place, after a 71-77 148 showing.

Tom Sherreard completed his day with rounds of 75-76 151 (+7) to put him in 22nd heading into the final round. Jared Cagle shot an 83 in the second round for 81-83 164 (+20). Cagle places 49th after two rounds.

South Carolina leads the team event a +5. Georgia State heads to Tuesday trailing by six at +11. San Diego State (+17), Michigan State (+20), and Eastern Michigan (+26) round out the top five.

Rosendahl, with seven birdies in 36 holes, leads the team event by three shots over South Carolina's Wesley Bryan and Paul Woodbury, who are both even-par after two rounds. Tulsa's Nicolas Geyger and South Carolina-Beaufort's Reed Howard are tied for fourth at +1.

Georgia State will try to mount a comeback in tomorrow's final 18 to pick up their first team victory of the season.
