MIAMI, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2007) -- The Georgia State women's golf team finished in eighth-place at the Papa Johns Collegiate after final round of 306 giving the Panthers a three-round total of 946. Louisville captured the overall team title with a three-round score of 924.

State finished ahead of four teams ranked in the top-100 with 36th-ranked Furman finishing ninth, 97th-ranked Elon finishing 10th and 90th-ranked Coastal Carolina finishing 11th.

Sophomore Claire Starkie finished tied for 11th-place after a final round of 77 giving her a total of 233. Junior Joanna Klatten finished tied for 18th-place after a final round of 75 and a 236 total. Freshman Cathrine Madsen recorded a new career low score firing an even-par 72, which matched the low score of the third round. With the final round of 72, Madsen moved into 16th-place with a 234 total.

The Panthers will head to Gainesville, Fla. March 10th for the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational.
