Tallahassee, Fla. (01/28/07) ? The Georgia State Panthers fell 4-1 to #15 Florida State at the Speicher Tennis Center on Sunday morning at the Florida State Invitational.  Senior Martin Stiegwardt (Quito, Ecuador) won the only point for the Panthers at the No. 1 position in singles.

The Panthers took on Florida Atlantic Sunday afternoon.  Due to the delay caused by inclement weather, the singles matches were played first.  Andres Arango (Guayaquil, Ecuador) won the first point for State defeating Eddie Majcher 6-1, 6-4 of Florida Atlantic at the No. 4 position.  Nejc Podkrajsek (Zalec, Slovenia) followed with a second Panthers' point over FAU's Corey Smith 6-4, 6-1. 

After dropping the second set, Anze Cevka (Kamnik, Slovenia) won the third set and match putting State up 3-1 over FAU.  Mattias Skold (Linkoping, Sweden) gathered the fourth and final point for the Panthers winning the final two sets over Karol Szmurlo.

Georgia State (3-1) will return to action on Friday, February 2 when it hosts Emory at 2:00 p.m.
