POINT CLEAR, ALA -- The Georgia State women's golf team wrapped up its 2023-24 season at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, where
Amelie Weber was the Panthers' top finisher.
Georgia State finished ninth in the stroke play portion of the Championship, from which the top four teams advanced to match play. The Panthers totaled a 33-over par score of 897 (298-301-298) over 54 holes at the Lakewood Golf Club (Par 72, 6106 yards).
Weber, the sophomore from Laufen, Basel-land, Switzerland, finished tied for 17th with a 6-over 222. She entered Wednesday's final round in eighth place and just three shots of the lead but fell back with a 76 in Round 3.
Freshman
Pariya Sanpanawat was tied for 27th at 224 (8 over).
Senior
Padgett Chitty turned in Georgia State's best score for the final round with a 1-over 73 Wednesday.
Hailey Jones of Texas State fired a 67 in the final round to capture the individual medal with a 5-under 211, three strokes better than ULM's Daniela Campillo.
Texas State, Georgia Southern, ULM and Old Dominion advanced to match play to determine the Sun Belt Conference champion.
