Ricardo Williams Jr., a junior defensive lineman on the Georgia State football team, is the P.A.S.S. Academic All-Star for the month of August.

The P.A.S.S. Academic All-Star award is given out monthly to top performing student-athletes selected by the Panther Academic Support and Student-Athlete Development (P.A.S.S.) staff.

Williams, from Jackson, Miss., joined the GSU program in 2023 after two seasons Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Academic Advisor Danielle Lipscomb says, "Ricardo works extremely hard in the classroom, and always has since he began his journey here at GSU. Ricardo worked tirelessly this summer to gain entry into the Psychology Program and did so without any complaints. He always comes in and does exactly what is asked of him and even takes time to mentor the younger guys on the team. His work ethic has carried him and will continue to carry him a long way."
