Padgett Chitty posted Top 25 finishes as the Panthers' opened the 2023-24 season at South Alabama's USA Intercollegiate presented by Hampton by Hilton at Providence, held on the crossings course at RTJ at Magnolia Grove.
All three finished with a 7-over par 223 for the 54-hole event, tied for 23rd place.
Vemuri, from Fort Worth, Texas, fired an even-par 72 in Monday's final round. Sanpanawat, the freshman from Thailand playing in her first collegiate event, shot 74 in the final round, while Chitty carded a 75 after opening the tournament with a 72.Â
Playing with only four healthy golfers, Georgia State finished eighth in the team standings. Defending Sun Belt Conference Champion ULM won the team title by five strokes with a 1-under 863.
The event marked the head coaching debut for Georgia State's
Ket Vanderpool, who takes over the GSU program after four seasons as an assistant coach for the Panthers.
