Pariya Sanpanawat shot a 2-under par 70 to lead Georgia State on Day 1 of the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course. The Bangkok, Thailand native is tied for fifth place in the individual standings, four shots off the individual lead.
Georgia State stands tied for seventh of 16 teams as the Panthers shot a 7-over par 295 top open their second event of the fall.
Sophomore
Amelie Weber was also under par for the Panthers with a 71, tied for 11th.Â
Playing as an individual,
Mahina Leveau shot even-par 72.
Host Furman and Western Kentucky share the 18-hole lead at 3-under (285).
The 54-hole tournament continues with 18 holes Saturday and Sunday.
