On Episode 119 of the Panther Insider Podcast Driven by Ford, Voice of the Panthers Dave Cohen talks football with Georgia State offensive coordinator Trent McKnight and defensive coordinator Chad Staggs as the Panthers prepare for the Aug. 31 season opener vs. Rhode Island at Center Parc Stadium.

Now in his seventh season on the GSU staff and his second as offensive coordinator, McKnight coaches a unit that features one of the top quarterbacks in the Sun Belt Conference in Darren Grainger, as well as running back Marcus Carroll, receiver Robert Lewis and left tackle Travis Glover.

Staggs takes over as head coach Shawn Elliott's defensive coordinator after four seasons in the same role at Coastal Carolina. Top returning defenders for the Panthers include defensive end Javon Denis, linebackers Jontrey Hunter and Jordan Veneziale and cornerback Bryquice Brown.
