THE TIPOFF: Georgia State returns home to the GSU Convocation Center to host Middle Georgia State Monday at 7 p.m.

> The Panthers are playing just their third home game of the season and one of just four non-conference home dates.

> Georgia State has won all four meetings with Middle Georgia State, including one exhibition game (2015). Last December, the Panthers won 79-53 at the GSU Convocation Center. Jamaine Mann had a double-double with a career-high 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead GSU.

> Georgia State leads the Sun Belt in free throw percentage at .771. In the overtime win at Little Rock, the Panthers went 22-for-22 at the free throw line in the second half and 29-for-34 in the game.

> Toneari Lane, the transfer from Winthrop, scored a career-high 23 points in each of the back-to-back wins over Little Rock. He hit nine 3-pointers and 11-of-13 free throws in the two games while averaging 5.0 rebounds.

> Lane leads the Sun Belt with 2.86 3-pointers made and ranks second in 3-point percentage at .370. He is averaging 13.0 points per game.

> In the 93-90 overtime win at Little Rock (Nov. 22), the Panthers rallied from a 14-point deficit in the second half after trailing 61-44 with 14 minutes to play. That is GSU's largest second-half comeback since overcoming a 22-point second-half deficit to win at Alabama in 2018-19. Lane, who scored 23 in the game, started the comeback with nine straight points on back-to-back treys and then three free throws.

> In the 88-77 home win over Little Rock, Toneari Lane scored a career-high 23 points, including six 3-pointers, and four other Panthers reached double figures. Dwon Odom and Jamaine Mann scored 15 apiece, Lucas Taylor chipped in 14 points and Jay'Den Turned had 11 points and seven rebounds.

> Lucas Taylor is the Panthers' leading scorer at 14.4 points per game, which ranks ninth in the Sun Belt. The Wake Forest transfer poured in a career-high 27 points in the 77-70 win at Western Michigan.

> Jay'Den Turner, the graduate transfer from Queens, leads the Panthers and ranks No. 4 in the Sun Belt with 8.9 rebounds per game, along with 10.6 points per game and a team-leading 11 steals. Turner recorded a double-double in his GSU debut vs. Belmont with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

> Preseason All-Sun Belt guard Dwon Odom, the Panthers' top returning scorer, is averaging 10.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He is first in the Sun Belt in assist-to-turnover ratio at +3.0.

> Senior guard Brenden Tucker, another Preseason All-Sun Belt selection, is just four points away from 1,000 for his career. He averaged 12.9 ppg for the Panthers last season after scoring 569 points in three seasons at Charleston.

ADDING EXPERIENCE: Head coach Jonas Hayes and his staff have rebuilt the GSU roster with addition of six transfers and two freshmen.

> The six-pack of transfers includes experienced graduate transfers Leslie Nkereuwem (Longwood) and Jay'Den Turner (Queens). That duo combined to play in 219 games with 1,657 points and 1,124 points between them over the last four seasons.

> Nkereuwem  averaged 8.4 points and 3.1 rebounds at Longwood in 2022-23.

> Last season at Queens, Turner led the Atlantic Sun Conference with 7.5 rebounds per game while scoring 8.4 ppg.

> Sophomore Toneari Lane averaged 10.3 points 2.4 rebounds in 34 games at Winthrop last season, while sophomore Rickey Bradley Jr. started 27 of 31 games at VMI, averaging 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds.

PRIDE OF THE PEACH STATE: Georgia State is the winningest Division I college basketball team in the state of Georgia since the 2011-12 season.
