Georgia State (16-23, 6-9 Sunbelt) falls to Texas State (15-5, 2-1 Sun Belt) in the series finale Saturday afternoon. This is the first time this season the Panthers have been swept.Â
Jessica Mullins (16-11) led Texas State allowing just two hits in 7.0 innings while striking out three to get the sweep.
Hallie Adams (4-9) took the loss for Georgia State after allowing only three runs on four hits, striking out five and giving up zero walks in six innings.Â
The Bobcats scored two in the first off a 2 RBI double by A. Jones, followed by one homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning.Â
This was the first time Georgia State and Texas State had faced each other since 2019.
The Panthers will step back out of conference play on Wednesday as they host Georgia Tech at 6 PM.
