ATLANTA – Georgia State softball has officially released its 2027 roster, as announced by head coach Becca Owens on Friday.

The 2027 roster features a mix of talent, with 12 newcomers: seven freshmen and five transfers.

The 2027 roster is powered by a strong core of returners, including Zoey DeFoor, Lauren Brister and Ciarra Jefferson.

Junior infielder Zoey DeFoor started all 56 games at shortstop last season and played well defensively, posting a .951 fielding percentage. She also did damage with the bat, hitting .283 and scoring 28 runs.

Senior utility Lauren Brister appeared in 49 games with 43 starts last season. She batted .315 and walked 14 times to reach a .403 on-base percentage. She also flashed the glove, with a .981 fielding percentage.

Senior infielder Ciarra Jefferson appeared in 55 games with 48 starts. She batted .250 on 33 hits and drove in 18 runs. Jefferson posted a .886 fielding percentage across the season as well.

The Panthers feature a youthful but talented pitching core as well, with three freshmen and two sophomores.
