SAN MARCOS, TX - Georgia State (16- 20, 6-6 Sun Belt) will look to continue their winning streak as they travel Thursday to Texas to face Sun Belt Conference opponent Texas State (21-17, 7-8 Sun Belt). Pitch is set for 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

GEORGIA STATE NOTES

Bailee Richardson still leads the Panthers with a .319 batting avg. She also leads the team with 31 RBIs on 36 hits with a slugging percentage of .611. Richardson is looking to hit her 10th home run of the season against the Bobcats.

Daisy Hess continues to be aggressive on the bases and now leads the Panthers in stolen bases with 19 on the season and sits alone at number two in the conference. 

Pitcher Emily Buck leads the Panthers with six wins and an ERA of 3.17.

ALABAMA STATE AND GEORGIA STATE

Georgia State (16-20, 6-6 Sun Belt) is coming off a big series win against the UTA Mavericks ( 16-17, 7-8 Sun Belt) and a win against non- conference opponent Alabama State on Tuesday. The Panthers are currently sitting at number five in the conference. 

Texas State is coming off a series loss to ULM (2-1) and were set to face Baylor in a midweek matchup before it was canceled. 

SERIES HISTORY

The Bobcats lead the all-time series against the Panthers since joining the Sun Belt in 2014 (16-10).
