ATLANTA -- Georgia State's challenging schedule continues as the Panthers open Sun Belt Conference play with a road trip to league favorite and No. 22-ranked Louisiana, Friday through Sunday in Lafayette, La.
Game times at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park are Friday at 5 p.m. ET, Saturday at 3 p.m. ET and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
After these three contests, Georgia State will have played seven games against ranked foes in 12 days. The Panthers are coming off a 6-2 loss at No. 15 Georgia in a game that was tied into the fifth inning. In the last week, GSU has also faced No. 21 Auburn and No. 4 Florida twice.
Bailee Richardson leads the Sun Belt in home runs (6) and RBI (1.0 per game). The junior infielder is hitting .375 with 19 RBI.

Carolyn Deady is hitting .297 with three homers and nine RBI.
Under first-year head coach
Angie Nicholson, Georgia State (7-12) has been aggressive on the basepaths, ranking No. 18 in the nation (second in Sun Belt) with 2.76 stolen bases per game.

Emily Brown lead the way with eight stole bases each.
Six different pitchers have started in the circle for the Panthers, led by
Emily Buck with a 4-4 record and a 2.41 ERA in nine starts.
Louisiana is 13-4 on the season. The Panthers are seeking their first win over the Ragin' Cajuns since 2018, when Georgia State earned a 7-6 victory in 13 innings in Atlanta, and their first win road win in the series.
