ATLANTA – Six members of the Georgia State men's tennis team earned fall semester academic honors as announced by the athletic department on Thursday. The squad finished the fall with a 3.34 team GPA.
Vazha Shubladze earned President's List honors for a GPA of 4.0 or higher.
Andrei Duarte, Roberts Grinvalds, Patrick Lazo, Diego Padilha Riviere and Edward Tymes each garnered Dean's List honors for a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
A total of 13 programs posted a team GPA above 3.0, with seven teams at 3.5 or higher, including women's golf (3.79), beach volleyball (3.69), women's tennis (3.67), court volleyball (3.65), softball (3.57), women's soccer (3.51) and cross country (3.96).
Fifty-five student-athletes achieved President's List recognition for the fall, Georgia State's highest academic distinction signifying a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher. The program record is 57 President's List honorees in spring 2020.
Ninety-four individuals earned Dean's List status with a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99, and another 92 student-athletes made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher.
Georgia State is coming off a stellar fall campaign that included a trip to the ITA National Fall Championships.
