ATLANTA, GA – Georgia State Men's Tennis battled their conference foes from South Alabama, taking a court in doubles and singles before eventually falling by a final score of 4-1.
Suddenly streaking since being paired together on the first line,
Gabriele Datei and
Aleksandar Andrin toppled the Jaguars' top duo, 6-4, for their third straight win against no losses as a doubles pairing. The first line heroics were not enough to secure the point for the Panthers, however, as South Alabama won a pair of close contests on lines two and three.
Protecting a hot streak of his own,
Gustav Andersson knocked off his fourth line counterpart in straight sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-4 to secure his third singles win in his last four outings.
Sota Minami bounced back nicely on court six, winning his second set 7-5 after falling 6-4 in the first. He would not have a chance to finish off the comeback, however, as the Jaguars had closed out the contest with wins on courts one, three, and five.
