CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After weather suspended the first round of play on Saturday, the Georgia State men's golf team stayed busy on Sunday as play resumed at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate at the UNC Finley Golf Course.
Senior Josh Edgar remained steady finishing a first round 1-under 71, followed by a 73 in round two to stand at even par and tied for 15th entering the final round of play on Monday.
Georgia State stands in a tie for 11th place at 17-over par following rounds of 298 and 295 but stand just six strokes out of the top half of the field.
Host No. 17 North Carolina leads the 14-team field at 15-under par, however, only three teams are under par following 36 holes. Tar Heel Peter Fountain, who is ranked No. 56 in the country, leads the individual competition at 9-under par.
The final round of play will get underway on Monday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
