Softball Returns Home to Host Chattanooga Saturday

ATLANTA -- Georgia State begins an eight-game home stretch Saturday as the Panthers host a doubleheader with Chattanooga at 4 and 6 p.m. at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

The Panthers sit at 10-8 on the season after a narrow 1-0 loss Wednesday at No. 18 Georgia in Athens. Chattanooga enters the weekend with a 4-9 record and will look to snap a five-game losing streak.

GSU is 7-2 vs. The Mocs since 2010 and have won six straight in the series including a 5-4 victory in Atlanta in 2018. Saturday's game can be followed via Twitter (@GSU_Softball) and through live stats available here.

Bailee Richardson and Daisy Hess continue to lead the Georgia State offense. Richardson is hitting .426 with three home runs and 17 RBI. Hess is batting .351 with three homers and a team-high 20 RBI. Hess leads the Sun Belt and ranks 26th in NCAA D-I in RBI. The GSU lineup ranks 10th in the country and leads the conference with 68 walks.

Emily Buck is 3-0 in the circle with a 2.17 ERA through 29.0 innings. Macy Banks is 2-1 with a 1.37 ERA through 15.1.
