Women's Golf Closes Fall at Mercer Invitational Monday

ATLANTA – Coming off its best result of the season, the Georgia State women's golf team will conclude the fall season traveling just down I-75 for the Mercer Invitational at the Brickyard Golf Club beginning Monday.

The Panthers recently finished fourth at the Little Rock Golf Classic as Kelly Strickland and Mahina Leveau each tied for 10^th.

"We're ready to end the season on a strong note down in Macon," head coach Jessica Steward said. "We're expecting lots of hills at this new golf course and strong competition. There will be a handful of top-100 teams in the field with Mercer, Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, and Delaware is right on the bubble. If we bring out A-game, we'll be able to get an honest look at how we stack up."

The two-day, 54-hole event will feature 12 teams from throughout the country.

Through the first three events, Ari Acuff leads the Panthers with a 73.89 scoring average. As a team Georgia State has combined for two individual top 10 finishes and five top 25 results so far this year.

On the Road: Brickyard Golf Club, Par 72, 6,171 Yards

Teeing It Up: 12 teams will compete in the 54-hole event

The Schedule: The field will compete Monday and Tuesday playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Rounds 1 & 2 will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, with the final round taking place with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Who to Watch: Freshman Aubri Braecklein will be making her collegiate debut this week.
