ATLANTA -- Georgia State junior guard Kane Williams has been named Hercules Tires Strong Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers with 21 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in GSU's 89-70 win over first-place Little Rock on Tuesday night.

Williams went 4-of-9 from the floor and a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line, tied for the third-best mark in program history.
 
The win helped snap a three-game losing streak and gave Georgia State its 19th win of the season.
 
With the win, Georgia State secured the No. 4-seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Panthers are scheduled to play either Georgia Southern or Louisiana on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the GSU Sports Arena.
