ATLANTA-- Georgia State returns home to host Jacksonville State on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 2:00 p.m. before hitting the road for its first conference matchup at Georgia Southern.
Before this contest, the Panthers have only seen two games at home this season after starting the 2025-26 campaign on the road at Eastern Michigan and Cincinnati. Georgia State hosted Presbyterian and Fort Valley State before beginning a six game road swing that ends with two in-state games at Mercer and Kennesaw State.
THE SERIES:
The two are meeting for the 20th time overall, and the second time in two years. Before last year, the Panthers and Gamecocks hadn't met since 2008. Durign the last matchup in 2024,
Malachi Brown and Zarique Nutter led the Panthers with a collective 32 points, but the Panthers fell 72-67 on the road. Senior Nick McMullen led the Panthers on defense, posting 14 rebounds and five points.
TOP STORYLINES:
Georgia State clinched its first win of the season against Fort Valley State on Thursday, Nov. 13, after four players scored in double digits to lead the Panthers to a 90-56 victory.
Sophomore Joah Chappelle scored his second double-double of the season for the Panthers after recording 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Panthers' loss against New Mexico State (Nov. 26).
