Panthers to Compete at THE Spring Games This Weekend

GSU will play five games in Madeira Beach, Fla.

ATLANTA -- Georgia State's softball team will return to Florida for the second time this season for five games at THE Spring Games in Madeira Beach, Fla.

The Panthers will play Presbyterian and South Dakota at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, on Friday. GSU will then face Butler at 4 p.m. Saturday followed by Akron at 6:30 p.m. The tournament will wrap up Sunday as GSU takes on Monmouth at 2 p.m.

Due to the neutral site, no live stats will be available for the games this weekend and Twitter updates will be limited. All five games will be streamed live on FloSoftball.

  • After reaching base three times against #15/#17 Georgia on Wednesday, Olivia Davis leads GSU in batting average at .571.
  • Newcomer Sydney Stavro, a graduate transfer from Georgia Tech, is hitting .417 and has started all five games for GSU.
  • Caitlin Ray leads the team with five RBI. Ray hit an RBI-double Wednesday against #15/#17 Georgia.
