SAN MARCOS, Texas – Georgia State fell 6-0 in the series finale against Texas State Sunday afternoon in San Marcos.

Texas State led the whole way after going in front 1-0 in the bottom of the first.

Georgia State threatened in the top of the fourth as Kristin Hawkins hit a one-out double to the wall in left. Hawkins would be stranded on second, however, leaving Texas State in front 1-0.

The Bobcats stretched their lead with four runs on four hits in the bottom of the inning to go up 5-0 on the Panthers.

Texas State added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth to lead 6-0 which would be the final score as neither team scored in the final two frames.

The Bobcats finished with eight hits compared to GSU's three.

Next up for the Panthers is a home game against Georgia Tech Wednesday at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.
