*Georgia State women's tennis was defeated 5-2 by Louisiana Saturday morning in Lafayette.

*GSU will face Louisiana Saturday afternoon and UL Monroe Sunday afternoon.
LAFAYETTE- Georgia State women's tennis (3-8) fell 5-2 to Louisiana in the team's conference opener Saturday morning. The result came despite singles wins for Damira Muminovic and Lara Vovk.
The Panthers faced an immediate hole as they forfeited the doubles point giving Louisiana a 1-0 lead. The Ragin' Cajuns would grab a 3-0 lead before the first serve, winning by walkover in the number five and six singles slots.
Vovk would bring the Panthers back with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the four flight, improving to 2-1 on the year in the four spot. Muminovic would add a 6-4, 6-6 (7-3) win on court three, but Georgia State dropped the matches on courts one and two to give Louisiana the 5-2 victory.
The Panthers will look to bounce back as Sun Belt play rolls on tomorrow. GSU will face ULM in Monroe Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
