TROY, AL – Feeling the effects of limited roster availability, Georgia State Women's Tennis was forced to forfeit one of their doubles courts and two of their singles courts against Troy on Sunday. The remaining Panthers were unable to recover from the deficit, eventually falling by a final score of 4-0.
Sveva Bernardi and
Sara Radojevic maintained their spot on doubles court two, while
Lamiss Haouas moved up to join
Maria Paredes on line one. With court three already counted as a loss via forfeit, the Panthers' defeat one court one sealed the opening point in favor of Troy.
In singles play, Georgia State once again rolled out their four available players, slotting in Haouas on the fourth line. Once again, play was abbreviated, with Troy starting singles play on match point due to the Panthers' forfeits on courts five and six. A Troy victory on court one gave them a 4-0 overall win.
The Panthers will look to recover ahead of their home matchup with Middle Tennessee State on March 26.
