Shank Named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for Second Straight Week

The Cedar Park, Texas native has scored three goals in her last four contests

ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer standout Brooke Shank was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after producing two game-winning goals for the Panthers in their last two matches.

Shank has played a pivotal role in GSU's four-game win streak, scoring three goals in her last four contests and is tied for first in the Sun Belt with three game-winning goals against conference opponents.

The 2019 Preseason All-Sun Belt honoree has produced three goals against league competition, tied for the sixth-most among all players in the Sun Belt. Shank is also averaging 2.20 shots per game against conference opponents, the eighth highest mark in the league.

Georgia State takes on Coastal Carolina in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 6 in Foley, Ala. All seven matches of the 2019 Sun Belt Women's Soccer Championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
