Faddoul, Gordon Earn All-Sun Belt Honors

ATLANTA — Georgia State junior forward Aaliyah Faddoul and Senior defender Reese Gordon have been recognized among the Sun Belt's best, earning All-Sun Belt honors as announced by the league office Sunday afternoon. Faddoul was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team, while Gordon earned a spot on the Second Team following standout seasons for the Panthers.

Faddoul, a native of Ontario, Canada, continued to be one of the Sun Belt's most dynamic attacking players in her junior campaign. She led the conference in total shots (83) and shots per game (4.61) while ranking among the top ten in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17). Starting all 18 matches, she posted a .530 shots-on-goal percentage and recorded at least one point in five games. Faddoul was directly involved in over 30 percent of Georgia State's 34 goals this season, anchoring an offense that ranked among the top five in the league.

Gordon, from Jacksonville, Fla., solidified Georgia State's back line while also contributing offensively with four goals and two assists for 10 points. She played in all 18 matches and led the team with three game-winning goals. Defensively, Gordon played a key role in helping Georgia State post six shutouts and allow just 1.28 goals per game. Her consistency on both sides of the field earned her the first All-Sun Belt honor of her career.

The Panthers return to action on Monday, Nov. 3, at 2:30 ET, taking on Old Dominion in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament.
