What you need to know:
* Georgia State lost 7-1 Sunday to Radford in the fifth and final contest of the weekend.
* The Panthers were only outhit 7-6, but gave up five walks and had one error.
* The Panthers travel to Clearwater, Fla. next weekend for five games at the USF Invitational.
ATLANTA - Georgia State got six hits, but stranded five runners as the Panthers were defeated by Radford 7-1 Sunday afternoon at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.
Kensey Caldwell went 2-for-3 at the plate on Sunday and Ivie Drake delivered the lone RBI for the Panthers. Drake has now reached base in eight of the last nine games.
Radford scored five runs in the fourth inning, using a three-run homer to go on top. The Highlanders added two more runs in the top of the seventh after the Panthers got on the board in the sixth.
Emily Soles got the start in the circle and allowed four earned runs on five hits through 3.1 innings. Mandy Chance came on in relief and pitched the final 3.2 innings, giving up two runs on two hits.
Georgia State falls to 10-6 on the season. The Panthers travel to Clearwater, Fla. this weekend to play five games at the South Florida Invitational.
