ATLANTA--Jamie P. Boggs, formerly a senior athletics administrator at Duke, has joined the Georgia State staff as Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Sports Services and Senior Woman Administrator, Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick announced.

Boggs spent a total of seven years in the Duke athletics department, most recently as Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance. In addition to overseeing Duke's compliance program, she served as sport supervisor for the men's and women's fencing program.

"We are delighted to have Jamie join our senior management team," said Levick. "She has a very strong background in NCAA compliance and student services, and this expertise will be crucial as our program continues to grow in size and stature."

Boggs originally joined the Duke athletics staff as compliance coordinator in 2003 and spent two years in that role before being elevated to compliance director in 2005 and then to Assistant AD in 2007.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Panther family," said Boggs. "The growth of Georgia State Athletics under the leadership of Cheryl Levick has been tremendous, and I see even greater things to come. I am excited to be working with a talented group of coaches and student-athletes and an outstanding senior leadership team."

Before going to Duke, Boggs spent one year with the Sports Management Group Worldwide (SMGW), where she worked as Director of Sports Management, representing professional baseball players and securing marketing contracts for National Football League players. She previously served internships with the Orlando Magic, working with corporate sponsorships, and with the Chicago White Sox in public relations.

Boggs graduated from the University of San Diego in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She went on to attend law school at the University of Arizona and received a Juris Doctor in 2002. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona.
