Alicia Mills garnered the win for State, relieving senior Ashley Cowan in the top of the fourth, she allowed only three hits and no walks, while striking out five batters in four innings of work.

Sophomore infielder Rachel Cunningham finished the day batting 2-for-3, with a double and one run scored. Lily Skelton batted 1-for-2 on the day with two runs batted in, while Danielle Roddy and Catherine Lee both finished the game batting .500.

Drexel put up three runs in the first and second inning, as Ashley Botelho and Carla Waldron combined back-to-back doubles to bring home their first run. The Dragons put two more across on three hits and a sacrifice fly in the top of the second.

State came back to tie it up in the bottom of the fourth after Lily Skelton connected with a two-run single in the bottom of the third. Freshman Rebecca Roles drove in Rachel Cunningham, who had doubled earlier in the fourth inning, on a single through the left side.

In the bottom of fifth, Lauren Jones pushed a single through the middle, allowing Catherine Lee to score from third, who had singled to right field and advanced to third after Jessica Gowin walked and moved to second on a groundout by Cunningham. Gowin also crossed the plate on Jones' single, after the right fielder had trouble collecting the ball, giving the Panthers a 5-3 lead and the win.
