Women's Tennis Falls 5-2

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (04/14/07) ? The Georgia State (10-8, 1-2 CAA) women's tennis team fell to the Charlotte 49ers (9-9, 0-0 A-10), 5-2, on Saturday morning at the D.L. Phillips Tennis Complex.

 

The 49ers clinched the doubles point and four of the singles points.  Sophomore Martina Nitkova (Vratimov, Czech Republic) garnered the first singles point for the Panthers winning the first and third sets.  Junior Rachel Malina (Decatur, Ga.) grabbed the second and final point for State also being victorious in the first and third sets.

 

Georgia State will host Mercer in its final match of the regular season on Sunday, April 15 at Bitsy Grant Tennis Complex at 10:00 a.m.
