Women's Tennis Has Two Matches This Weekend

Women's Tennis Falls 5-2

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (03/06/07) ? Sophomore Dariana Kozmina and junior Mateja Podgorsek scored the points for the Panthers as Georgia State women's tennis fell to Northern Arizona 5-2 at the Flagstaff Athletics Club East on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Kozmina (Kharkiv, Ukraine) defeated Katie Schurr 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 position and Podgorsek (Domzale, Slovenia) dropped Paij Porter 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 5 spot in singles action.  In double action, all three Panther pairs were downed by their opponents.

 

The Panthers are in the mist of a five match road trip.  They will look for their first win of the road trip on March 20 when they travel to Chattanooga, Tenn. for a showdown with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at 3:00 p.m.
