Women's Tennis Drops to No. 51 Denver

ATLANTA

(02/25/07) - The Georgia State women's tennis team dropped to No. 51 Denver 6-1 at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.  Martina Nitkova and Kiera Strickland downed their opponent 8-5 in doubles action for the Panthers (6-4).

Denver (6-3) won the doubles point and all six singles matches as Annette Aksdal defeated Martina Nitkova in straight sets to clinch the victory for the Pioneers.

The Panthers will travel to Virginia to battle Colonial Athletic Association foes Old Dominion (3/3/07) and Virginia Commonwealth (3/4/07). The match against ODU is set for 1:00 p.m. and VCU at 2:00 p.m.
